SCOUTING REPORT ON DEMETRIUS HART
by Barry Every - 06/28/2010- Speed
- Size
- Strength
- Agility
- Elusiveness
On the Hoof: Hart possesses a very thick upper body and has a nice powerbase. He most resembles Desmond Scott physically from the class of 2009.
Needs Improvement: Has gained some solid muscle mass over the last year, but has it diminished some of his quickness? Hart also needs to improve ball security using the three points of pressure.
Most Impressive: On video he has tremendous change of direction, and excellent vision. He is also a patient runner who allows his blocks to set up. Hart has shown the ability to be a very good pass receiver out of the backfield, and is a threat as a punt returner.
Conclusion: Hart could see early action because he is lightning in a bottle when in space. His superior agility makes him a natural to get looked at as a punt returner early in his career. Depending on the depth chart of where he goes, Hart could make an early splash as a freshman.
